Pick&mix is the philosophy behind the Blugirl Folies collecting without forsaking an ironic seduction.
A touch of mischief and a dash of naiveté, a nod to the 1950s and another one to contemporary fashions, the freshness of mini and the romantic outlook of maxi. Starting with the brio of a poppy print on the long dress in white cotton muslin.
The theme also features a smock that goes over leggings, red and white striped chenille sweatsuits, tank tops and shorts.
The ankle-length dress printed with roses both large and small is hemmed in delicate ivory lace. The same tapestry-style print is also used for a special, clean-lined blazer which coordinates with skinny blue jeans and a silk tank top.
But the most intriguing version brings together shorts printed with roses and a pink, two-layer tank top: cotton below, silk above.
A musical crescendo gives rhythm to a merry combination of white hearts and polka dots on a red background.
The pieces in denim and lace are the true stars of the season: the slip dress with a very broad lace flounce, the lace shirt with cloth pockets, the bolero jacket trimmed with fringes, the shorts.
Focus on blue and white stripes on the long jersey bustier dress while the stripes on the chenille cardigan are angled and serve as a frame for the large embroidered anchor on the back.
Seaside-inspired prints embellish silk T-shirts that coordinate with skinny denim miniskirts or pants illuminated with a shower of rhinestones.
